Here are some ways you can get involved with us.

What awaits me?

  • As a "Living Book," you are the central part of our project.

  • You share your personal story and answer questions in a safer space (a protected space for respectful and unprejudiced encounters).

  • You help children, teenagers, or adults to question their prejudices.

What do i get?

  • Your involvement as a "Living Book" is more than just volunteering – it's an enriching experience.

  • You promote dialogue, actively reduce prejudices, and experience self-efficacy.

  • Through these encounters, you might also learn how powerful open exchange can be.

  • If you wish, you will receive compensation for your efforts.

What awaits me?

  • As a volunteer Living Librarian, you support the organizational processes of our “Living Libraries”.

  • You coordinate the "lending" of the Living Books, accompany the conversations and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

  • You are an important part of the team that enables encounters on equal terms.

  • We will provide you with an introduction to your tasks.

What do i get?

  • Your commitment as a Living Librarian is a valuable asset – for the project and for you.

  • You are part of an open, committed community and help to reduce prejudice and promote respectful dialogue.

  • Through your organizational work, you enable inspiring encounters and contribute to ensuring that all participants, such as children and young people at schools or our Living Books, feel comfortable .

What awaits me?

As a research intern at the Living Library, you will be involved in reflecting on, reviewing and further developing our work.

 

  • You evaluate and analyze our events and formats.

  • You will help us collect feedback.

  • Analysis of impacts, challenges and development potential.

 

What do I get for it?

What awaits me?

  • By becoming a member of our association, you will become part of a community that actively works to reduce prejudice and promote dialogue between people.

  • You will be regularly informed about our activities and can contribute your own ideas and perspectives.

  • You will have the opportunity to participate in members' meetings and, if needed, to get to know and help shape our association's work.

  • As a member, you support our vision of a prejudice-aware society and help to secure our projects in the long term, also through your membership fee of €5/month.
