Like reading, just more extreme!

What is the Living Library?

The Living Library Berlin is like a conventional library: borrow, read, and return. However, there's one big difference! The books that are borrowed are so-called "Living Books"—real people with stories and experiences. These stories are an important part of the Living Library. They help people become aware of their own prejudices and discover new perspectives—"Meet your prejudice!"

What do we stand for?

We want to raise awareness among people about their prejudices.

LIVING BOOK
(Participants: 20-30, Living Book: 1, Duration: 4-6 hours)

Participants engage intensively with a selected book. Together, we develop a program tailored to the needs of the target group. We ensure knowledge transfer and combine it with playful approaches, making the topics lively and accessible.

LIVE READING CIRCLE (Participants: 15-60, Living Books: 4, Duration: 2-3 hours)

Here, discussions take place in small groups. The Living Books workshop involves several participants in multiple rounds of small group discussions. The participation of several people in the conversation gives it a very special dynamic.
