We all encounter prejudice – often without realizing it. Discrimination does not arise from malicious intent, but from a lack of interaction and understanding of other realities.
How do we do that?
We all encounter prejudice – often without realizing it. Discrimination does not arise from malicious intent, but from a lack of interaction and understanding of other realities.
With the "Living Book" workshop, we aim to change that. In a respectful dialogue, guided by an educational professional, students critically examine their own prejudices. The workshop combines a methodically diverse introduction with a personal encounter with someone affected by prejudice and/or discrimination, and a concluding reflection phase.
"Living Book" works.
After the workshop, the students are more aware of discrimination and recognize it in their everyday lives. They develop a more appreciative attitude towards people with different life experiences than their own.
